Saintapedia is so vast that the features that usually facilitate navigating, like hypertext and a search box, are supplemented by

  • portals and a page theme that features a toolbox
  • a search box
  • category of the page, on every page. The category of a page reflects the status of that page in the continuous categorization efforts all pages undergo.

Navigation is a critical priority on a Saintapedia page layout. The search box will navigate directly to a page, but this search box is also an interface to a powerful search engine developed especially for Saintapedia. Saintapedia's search box allows readers to apply six different parameters to better refine the search results that a bare word search might produce alone.

All Saintapedia articles are linked or cross-referenced for ease of navigation through the encyclopedia. Where you see text like this, it means there is a link to another article or Saintapedia page with further information if you need it. Holding your mouse over the link will show you where a link will take you. This means articles do not need to cover common ground in depth; instead, you are always one click away from more information on any point that has a link attached.

Page navigation

It is possible to create your own navigation in various ways.

Right box

Using VisualEditor, you can add a template (specially the Right box template), on a page to start to develop a simple navigation. Ideally it should be made into a template so it could be used on managed in one location and shown on multiple pages.

Infobox

An infobox is a table added to the top right-hand corner of articles to present a summary of some aspect of the article and sometimes to improve navigation to other interrelated articles. The use of infoboxes is neither required nor prohibited for any article. Infobox templates are like fact sheets, or sidebars, in magazine articles. They quickly summarize important points in an easy-to-read format.

Navbox

A Navbox is a blue box with an organized number of links that is edited in one place, shown throughout the wiki. They appear on the bottom of a page.
