Spell check in Powerpedia relies upon the browser's spell checking capabilities. Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer all have spell checking included directly within the browser.

MediaWiki for Word plugin

A great tool is the MediaWiki for Word plugin. This tool enables you to work in Microsoft Word to build your wiki content then copy into the wiki already formatted.

Features include:

  • Spell check in Word
  • Bold Text
  • Italic
  • Bullets

In Word, simply save as “Other Format” file type “MediaWiki”. Open the saved file, then just copy and paste into the wiki.
