Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is a company that functions as a strategic partner for the Department of Defense (DoD), focusing on providing solutions in maritime IT, systems engineering, and integration. ASE specializes in Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR). They offer support in equipment maintenance, research & development, hull, mechanical & electrical (HM&E) system support, as well as afloat and ashore installations, fabrication, and prototyping.
