Office of the Chief Information Officer

Synergy Solutions, Inc., (Synergy), an SBA certified 8(a) Economically Disadvantaged Woman- Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), was recently awarded a contract to support the Department of Energy (DOE), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This contract involves providing professional Information Technology (IT) support services in the area of management advisory and consulting support, including:

  • Cyber Security;
  • OCIO IT Support Services;
  • Use of IT to Improve DOE Mission Accomplishments;
  • Information Technology Workforce Initiative;
  • Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) process and Quality Assurance Program;
  • EITS Performance Management and Quality Assurance;
  • Program Management and Administrative Support;
  • Graphics Support;
  • Support to OCIO HQ Security Officer; and
  • Web/Software Support.

The OCIO has primary responsibility to ensure that IT is acquired and managed in a manner consistent with statutory, regulatory, and Departmental requirements and priorities. The OCIO is charged with ensuring that DOE’s investment in IT improves program effectiveness and service delivery.

Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center

Synergy Solutions, Inc. (Synergy), an 8(a) small disadvantaged woman-owned business based in Oak Ridge, TN, was recently awarded a contract from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) to perform Technical and Administrative Support Services for Operations and Maintenance of Building 55 at the Denver Federal Center. Synergy’s teaming partner/subcontractor for this project is The SM Stoller Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc.

The EMCBC Technical and Administrative Support Services contract for Building 55 includes providing security services, document and records management, document classification and declassification, information resource management, and facility management support.

The DOE EMCBC mission is to provide business and technical resources to the DOE EM cleanup program. These resources include financial and project management, human capital management, information management, contracting, legal services, logistics, and technical services.
