Washington River Protection Solutions, LLC (WRPS) is the Department of Energy’s Tank Operations Contractor responsible for managing and maintaining the underground waste storage tanks at Hanford Hanford site.
This organization is responsible for retrieving, treating, storing, and ultimately disposing of the approximately 56 million gallons of highly radioactive waste (nuclear and chemical waste) stored in these tanks at the Site and preparing it for delivery to the Waste Treatment Plant.
