Draft2:RadResponder
RadResponder is the national standard and Whole Community solution for the management of radiological data. It's flexible architecture enables organizations to rapidly and securely record, share and aggregate large quantities of data while managing their equipment, personnel, interagency partnerships, and multijurisdictional event space. RadResponder can be accessed on smartphones, tablets, and via the web, allowing it to be seamlessly and rapidly employed at all levels of government during a response to a radiological or nuclear emergency.

Center for Domestic Preparedness
Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) is a A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) federally chartered Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) training center. CDP uses RadResponder to train personnel in radiological/nuclear WMD response.
Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD)
Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD) is a professional organization of state radiation program directors and serves as the single point of interaction among state programs. CRCPD sponsors a number of task forces and working groups one of which is the E-43 Committee for Interagency Environmental Data Sharing and Communication. RadResponder will continually engage with this Task Force to support its charter to address communication and data sharing issues for radiological emergency response.
Center for Radiological/Nuclear Training
Center for Radiological/Nuclear Training (CTOS) is a FEMA sponsored training center which provides expertise and training to the state and local emergency response community. CTOS uses RadResponder to train first responders in radiological/nuclear emergency response.
National Association of County and City Health Officials
National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is a non-profit association whose membership is comprised of the 2,800 local health departments across the U.S. RadResponder is partnered with NACCHO on an initiative to better inform and support the public health sector's role in radiological/nuclear emergency response. The Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (DOE/NNSA) Office of Radiological Security (ORS) developed the Radiological Security Awareness and Response (RSAR) approach to collaborate with law enforcement to establish and implement their own tailored training program on radioactive material theft response. A well-trained and equipped response force capable of responding to an alarm event in a timely manner is vital to an enhanced radiological security strategy. Civilian facilities containing radioactive materials are typically open to the public thus making them vulnerable to tampering or theft. These facilities may lack on-site armed response forces that are sufficiently equipped or trained to handle a radiological security event. ORS uses an “alert and notify” security strategy whereby critical alarms and video assessments are sent to off-site responders. Detection and delay elements are combined with response capabilities to achieve “containment” so that adequately trained and equipped response forces can arrive in sufficient time to prevent radioactive material theft.
National Urban Security Technology Laboratory
The National Urban Security Technology Laboratory (NUSTL) is a federal laboratory organized within the United States Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate’s First Responders Group. Located in New York City, NUSTL is the only national laboratory focused exclusively on supporting the capabilities of state and local first responders to address the homeland security mission. The laboratory provides first responders with the necessary services, products, and tools to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from homeland security threats and events.
