This form allows users to upload and associate church photos with metadata under the Photos/ namespace. Supported formats: JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg), PNG (.png), WebP (.webp).

Usage[edit | edit source]

To add a photo, use Special:FormEdit/Photos/ or the input box on Portal:Homepage or Help:UploadPhotos with Form:Photo. Submit the form with Form:Photo to save data.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • To set a parish's primary image, use Form:Parish.
  • For a shrine's primary image, use Form:Shrine.
  • This form is for additional photos.
  • Fields Parish, Saint, Shrine, Country, Diocese, and Administrative Subdivision allow free-text input with autocomplete from past entries in the Photos category; they are Page fields (red links allowed, fix later).
  • Location, Date Taken, and Description are also editable.
  • It uses Template:Photo for storage/display and is supported by Template:PhotoDeclare.

File Naming[edit | edit source]

Use descriptive names (e.g., "St Marys Basilica exterior Krakow 2023.jpg"). Avoid generic names, version numbers, or abbreviations. Use sentence capitalization (or headline-style for proper nouns) and spaces between words. See Help:UploadPhotos for details.
